Glad to see the 8's still going strong!

Why fly with 2 engines when you can have 3?

That looks incredible. The DHC-8 has a large tail, and the continental tail design looks outstanding.

Too bad the engines aren't painted like the low-wing CoCo birds with the blue on top.

Otherwise it looks outstanding.

I love how immaculate the DHC-8 looks now after its fresh paint. But give it time, her paint will get destroyed.

I'd love to see them take precedence over the 1900s, but I think these are cutting into ExpressJet's ERJs.

Either way, it looks like Air Canada Jazz will no longer be the sole operator of DHC-8s into CLE.

Great catch Chris... It is indeed a great looking plane! The colors look great on the Dash 8, and I for one, will enjoy seeing them in CLE!

Yes it is, they will be getting more from them as well. The interior of this one still needs to be redone, as all the covers have been removed from the seats, and new carpeting is also on order.

Indeed it is...formerly of QX. As I understand QX is getting rid of 12 -200 frames to CommutAir as it aquires more -400s and CRJs back from its Frontier service.

Here's a pic of N375PH in her former life :

Note: despite 416 shots of QX Dash-8s in A.nets database, not a single one of that particular bird...I had to go to the other site...

Didn't you mean Colon?  mischievous
Sorry couldn't resist that......the Dash looks exceptional, much rather have them (even better Q400's) running around IAH than the SF34's.

Fantastic pictures. The Dash really looks good in CO colors. One question though... I didn't see anywhere that the airplane says 'operated by Commutair' or something like that. Does that still have to be added?

Interesting....Now that you mention it, none of the Beeches say that either. I guess its not a requirement.

You know, you can look at something so often you almost don't see it!! You are correct, of course, and you can just about make it out in this shot:

Maybe they will put in somewhere inside the aircraft. On some type of placard.

Are they getting rid of the 1900's completely or is it going to be a mixed fleet?

I believe it's required it be on the outside of the aircraft.

Chances are the operator titles are in vinyl decal form and will probably be applied when it arrives in CLE or wherever for final fit-out before entering service.

Any chance of Commutair returning to UCA, or ROM now as UCA moved to griffis. I loved watching the little buggers landing from my house not too far from the airport.

Any possiblilty CLE-GSO could be on the horizon? Seems the Dash 8's would be well suited for this route a couple times a day.

25 ATCT : As far as I knew, AZO and TRI were new cities to be served from CLE. (Was told by a Commutair Pilot). Rampkontroler can probably give us the latest sc
26 BatonOps : The identifier for Rome is RME not ROM. It would be nice to see that area regain air service. UCA had a lot of history. Too bad it's gone now.
27 MtnWest1979 : Nice looking scheme. Can't tell you how many times I've seem N375PH in BOI. Both on the dhc-8 and on a Metro III prior to that.
28 Chrisjake : thats pretty cool!
29 Post contains images Nkops : C'mon CO... give ACY a third try now!!!!
30 Rampkontroler : Sorry, I don't know all that much about their long-term plans, but I have been led to believe that they will be replacing all the Beeches eventually.
