How comparable are 767-300Fs and A300-600Fs?

Quoting Manni (Reply 2): For starters, the 767F is still on offer, while Airbus announced 'last call' for orders for the A300F in the spring of 2006.
That wouldn't affect this situation. UPS had A300Fs on order, and by my read, these 767Fs could directly fill that role. I do not know for certain, hence my question (which is technical in nature.)

They could do even more then the A300F. They could carry about 5 tonnes of freight more and about 400NM further then the A300F. I dont know wether they are more fuel efficient.

The 767-300F has a bit more underfloor volume while the A300-600F has a bit more overhead volume. Payload is about the same, but the 767-300F can carry it about 600nm farther.
Still, the A300F had until today outsold the 767 by a five-to-one margin (259 to 50) so it is evidently preferred by carriers.

Why does the A330F image show a lump on the front (by the front landing gear)? Is it because they'll have to strengthen it? Just curious..
On a side note, the A330F starts to appear as the best looking twin freighter!

The A330-200 has a slight "nose-down" attitude which is not conducive to loading cargo ( though it does make unloading it a bit easier. ).
Therefore, the A330-200F will have a slightly longer nose-gear strut. This means the wheels won't fit in the current bay, so they had to add a forward structure to contain it.

Not exactly. It's the same old strut, but mounted lower.

This particular order passed me completely. It was announced when BA announced it's quarterly results. This order was a conversion from BA existing options for the A32X, with delivery to start in 2008.

WINGS, I appreciate the updates, but reposting all the pictures over and over creates bandwidth and page load issues.
Maybe you can post pictures as followup only when it's of the livery for the airline doing the ordering?

What about takeoff performance? UPS flies A300s into BUR, for example. Can the 767F do that?
