complete flight numbers are

LIM-BOG-CCS LP 582
CCS-BOG-LIM LP 583

intresting is that both CCS flights will leave LIM within 5 minutes.... but due the BOG stop of flight 583 it will arrive in CCS 2 hours later.

Equipment is crossed in CCS, to say the aircraft will have following routing

LIM-BOG-CCS-LIM
LIM-CCS-BOG-LIM

really very intresting, as I understand LP has full rights to sell seats between BOG and CCS

ticket prices seems quite high, around 420 USD including taxes for a return trip on the BOG-CCS-BOG routing....

very intresting now we have 4 airlines serving the market.

4 x daily AV
2 x daily VH
1 x dialy LP
3 x weekly LB

what I forget, aicraft that will be used is a A-319, if first thought it is a complete new service, but it seems that the current BOG flight gets just an extencion.... so good news for CCS due the new flight to LIM and additional capazity to BOG, little bit sad for BOG to loose the dedicated flight to LIM but nice to get also a new flight to CCS.

Just what VH needs on the route, more competition. I hope LP doesn´t make it impossible to crappy VH. Anyway, very nice that we now have 4 daily BOG-LIM flights and almost 8 daily BOG-CCS flights. Few years ago we didn´t even have half that.

From March, AV increases LIM to 10 weekly, adding a 4 weekly rotation (AV25/24) to the daily AV75/74. It seems that AV25/24 is a 757 and the daily remains the 767.

That was "confirmed" a long time ago; but when will LP will actually do it? Anyways, that would seem heavy competition on the route (TA, LB and Aerosur).

Quoting Andahuailas (Reply 5):

No rumours here, although the route would make sense I think. Currently they fly with a stop in Guayaquil from where it becomes a Lan Ecuador flight.

Thank you for the information. It seems that the CCS-LIM have been growing up lately. However this new flight will be good for the CCS-BOG competition. Maybe it could help fares drop.

So now CCS will have almost 5 flights a day to LIM:

TA CCS-LIM 14 weekly with A320
LP CCS-LIM 7 weekly with A319
LP CCS-BOG-LIM 7 weekly with a A319
VH CCS-LIM 5 weekly with a MD-80

Saludos.

LAN is an incredible airline. They are slowly achieving their goal as being the airline of South America. You can just look at their share price. $66.24 a share as of 9th of Feb.

as I understand TA will serve 7 weekly A320 and 7 weekly A321 on the route

I thought VH servec LIM 6 weekly like MDE or POS (everyday expect saturday)

I do not think there is a big alternative to AV on the route.... AV provides a great inflight service even on such a short flight from CCS.... can not imagine that LAN will service anything beside drinks on the flight, even on the CCS-LIM nonstop flights that is over 3,5 hours these days they are only serving a sandwich (but its indeed a good one  Smile )

cheers

i agree, AV has a good service to BOG from CCS, i flew with AV last october. However, im a member of LANpass so it will be very useful for me.
But such a short flight i would fly either of them

a ok understand.... I just hope LP will do a promotion for the flight, because its still over 400 USD for a return trip... would be nice they would do a 200 USD promotion or something like that to try there service.... on this short run.

AV will increase LIM to 11 weekly. 7x weekly 767-300ER and 4x weekly 767-200ER, add the 9 weekly TA flights, and the new LP flight, and there you go, almost 4 daily flights.

Quoting Erikgnoha (Reply 7):
TA CCS-LIM 14 weekly with A320

I think the second daily TA flight will only operate 5x a week....i read that somewhere

4x weekly 767-200ER

According to Avianca reservations, it's a 757. Look in their system.

Well, it could be operated with a 757 in the first days, but the announcement clearly said 767-200ER.
