Following reports in Switzerland and Austria,the Austrian Investor Ronny Pecik (Oerlikon ) group is poised to take a major stake in Skyeurope.(so far 5% )
Niki Lauda ,partner of Air Berlin through his company Flyniki,is thought to be consulting Pecik on the deal.Niki has as a new "investor" on his red-cap the Pecik company Oerlikon as sponsor...

Very interesting. Pecik certainly does not invest in an airline he sees no future for it. So I guess he wants to invest in them and make them profitable and the nsell them for a much higher price.

I think it is good for NE...

It could make sense though to combine all three airlines into one group to tackle AUA and have a even more strategic size competing with FR and EZY...
We'll know within a few days.
