Currently only in use at YVR, the new radar allows operators to locate pieces of FOD on runways up to a kilometere away. This helps to shorten delays caused by trying to find FOD pilots have reported from 15-20 min to under 5. Many other airports are watching the testing at YVR including HKG, YYC, and SYD. The sytem is called Tarsier, and the retail cost of each modual is $1.5 million US.

As long as the number of take-offs equals the number of landings...you're doing fine.
