I was wondering what the forum thought of VS's new 747-400 acquistions. The airline now has 7 747-400s on order. The airline also has 8 A340-600s on order from Toulouse. Currently, the airline operates
The 8 A340-600s were thought to be 747-200 replacements, but now the airline will have the 747-400s entering the fleet before the A340-600s. Will this order make Virgin not take out the 10 options is has on the -600 line? Will they replace the 747-200s earlier than expected? Last but not least, how does this effect their 747X and A3XX future purchases? Also, for how long is the Air Atlanta 747-300 being leased?
