Does anybody know how is BA doing in terms of load factor for their YYC operation? What aircraft they are using? What is the configuration of the aircraft? i bet the business class seats are more than normal in this destination? is this route profitable for them or not?

They are operating a 777 on the route. It opeartes as a x5 weekly service with a 4 class servic, First, Club World, WT+ and WT. I dont think the flights are doing as well as planned but it is still early days but i expect BA'sdisruption didnt help.

Sorry Sketty222 but your info is not correct. Current load factors are around 90% in WT while F/J are getting steadily better. Seeing how long the flight has been operating, these ain't bad.

I'll be taking this flight to LHR at the beginning of March on my way to DEL. I've never flown BA before and used my trip as a reason to finally try something other than AC to get across the pond to Europe. Albeit I'll only be in WT but I look forward to a new experience.
I had heard that the frequency was going to be upgraded to 6x weekly and perhaps daily after that. Any word on how that is progressing?

Perhaps a little off topic...please forgive.
Anyone know if BA is offering complimentary access to the Penauille Servisair (or other) lounges for Club passengers? The BA website doesn't mention Calgary at all on their list of lounge locations.

Although it is GREAT to have BA service at YYC, I am too committed to my Aeroplan and NWWorldperks to book with them. I have been checking fares and they are offering fair fares! I hope they stay and are a sucsess!

Quoting ConcordeBoy (Reply 9): Out of curiosity, what other nonstop intercons does YYC receive? Sched or Sched-charter.
Off the top of my head there are flights to Frankfurt Germany on AC and during the summer nonstop to Japan. I've heard there is talks of resuming the old KLM Asterdam flight but don't know how true that is.
