I heard today that Air Ukraine stopped serving Toronto recently. Can any one confirm this? From what I gould gather the service was only suspended not cancled, and is due to be replaced by another Ukrainian Carrier, Not Air Ukraine, with B767's in place of the IL-62's.

Any Info would be great!! Thanks.....

I fly in and out of YYZ frequently and the last time I noticed them there was March at Terminal one, it was indeed an IL-62, it was (I think) the early afternoon.
I was down there last week at the same time, I flew into terminal 3, and didnt see them. Nor did I see signs or counters for them anywhere.
Hope it helps a little bit

I work part time as a ramper and full time in the summer at T3 and I have not seen them since around the thrid week in October. Since I go to school in Peterborough and mostly work at the airport in the summer and the odd weekend here or there I have'nt seen them very much. Last I saw they were still using the IL-62M's. The flights were either one or twice a week. As I remember arrival was around 4:30 with departure about 5:30-5:45pm. Usually at gate C32. I would normally see them when we were servicing KLM (4:20-6:20).

I probably wont be back at the airport until the middle of December after my exams. But I will ask the guys I work with and keep an eye out myself.

Regards
Darryl

Thanks for yout help guys....I know that for the summer AU switched to two days a week from one, and that they used the IL62 on that flight. Infact it was the only flight the IL62 did for the airline. Hopefully someone in Ukraine may be able to shed some new light on the topic.....

Thanks again....

From the schedules I have found they will fly from YYZ on 11/20, 12/25 and 1/15.

In the past, many Eastern Bloc airlines would operate flights fortnightly or monthly. Maybe this is the case in this instance. I'd be interested in more info, too.

What about their flights from Lvov?

Looks like the Russian aircraft carriers like to do what is known as "monthly charter"... like Air Koryo they fly to Macau from Pyongyang once every month...
