It seems as if at least one other RJ has received the new colors of ExpressJet. I caught this one (N14158) today in the middle of some heavy flurries as it taxied to the de-ice pad. A lot of people hate the colors, but I think they are kinda cool...but then again, I liked Independence Air's too!

Interesting about the Xjet 145XR showing up in CLE. Presumedly on a charter, Chuck? Don't know if they can run these planes on COEX service anymore...

For the record, the following are painted up in new colors, from my logs at IAH:
XRJ: Ships 188, 189, 191 (plus 158 above)
LRJ: Ships 544, 547

Going for the LRJ tomorrow

Pretty ugly paint scheme if you ask me. Although a lot might be due to the photo and weather conditions.

Yeah, the photo sucks, but the weather did too! This one may be slightly better:

Thanks JSD and Viasa for the list....to be perfectly honest, the reg. is very difficult to read and was going to confirm it today at work. I assume I have it right, but not seeing it on your list has me wondering...

And I'm not sure why he was here. When I came in he was parked up at the maintenance hangar, and I just reached my spot when he came by to de-ice. I'll update later when I can find out more from the MX guys....

The colors are okay, but they won't look good at the CO utopia in CLE.

Can add a pair to Viasa's list, straight from the XJet mx ramp this morning:

LRJ: N16546
XRJ: N13161

N14907 only wears the basic CO colors with ExpressJet on the engine cowls, same as the way I shot it back in early January.

For the BOS spotters, N14186 will be heading your way this afternoon...It has the XM radio onboard (checked it out, pretty neat and tidy on the armrest!)

I kind of like it.

And good job, Rampkontroller! Maybe you get credit for actually being the first one to snap a pic of the new XJet actually MOVING around? Big grin

Too bad I missed it. I'm sure you would have been telling me to get the hell out of the way while you took the picture.  rotfl

Don't worry Falcon, I wouldn't have pushed you too hard! LOL Actually, I think A340 Spotter got one moving before I did, and I'm sure he's sitting on a bunch more! (I'd be surprised if he wasn't!)

Yeah, he did look kinda out of place on the de-ice pad sitting next to his CO colored brethren! Looked like the proverbial red-headed stepchild!

I only got it moving around via the means of a tug hooked up  Smile

I am sitting on another 3 that I took today at the mx base in IAH (161, 186, 191). Couldn't get the 2 LRJs though! There's always tomorrow...

Hear you can't see anything outside today at CLE, at least at the moment (2025z Sunday, 1/4SM +SN)...

It might be interesting to note that one of the newly painted a/c came into DAB on Thursday, presumably another race week charter.

I fly out of CXO which is Montgomery County Airport. The other day there was one on the ramp waiting to be painted and ship 185 was waiting to be picked up. Wings Aviation is doing the painting on this side of the border. There's another place down in Mexico as well.

Yep, this aircraft was in CLE to do the charters. There have been a few out of there and some at BKL. We can't use these planes on the COex routes anymore since they have been removed from the agreement.

FYI for everyone --> ship #s 160-204 will all be painted in the new colors. The 69 removed from COEX were the 44 NEWEST XRs and the 25 newest LRs.

XJET, thanks for that bit of info...Chuck's shot above may not have been ship 158 then? 188 would be more likely? Can't access the tail numbers to check.

It would not surprise me too much. I had intended to confirm the number with MX today, but as you know...we got a bit busy and I didn't have a chance! Let me know if anyone can verify this please.

You know... it is possible. I just had the thought that we may have skipped some numbers in the ship sequence. I do that we are painting the newest 44 XRs. I will see if I can find the list of ship numbers. They are churning out the new paint jobs pretty quickly right now.
