Martin JRM-3 Mars - Phased Out Of Service?

Hi,

I recall reading some time ago that the MArtin JRM-3 Mars water bombers were going to be phased out of service... does anybody have details as to wether that has happened, and if so, what has happened to the airframes?

There were few examples produced, one hopes they went to a good home...
