Yesterday I was at the Ops Dept. and could realise they were already with all manuals and discussing performance of the A321 and when I asked about it I was informed that TAM will receive a brand new A321 next OCT. It is expected this aircraft to run JJ8074/JJ8075.

Congrats, a very good aircraft to a very good airline.

Wow... I thought these A321 options had turned into A320 order (heard it somewhere).
Anyway, I always wondered where they would fit in TAM network. So FOR-BEL-MAO-MIA is the hotspot.

Will it be used on routes from CGH ? That would be interesting to know.

Exceptions confirm the rule.

Tam will receive 3 A321 as per Airbus info. Probably we could see some flying to EZE and even some northeast destinations.

Thanks for the news JJMNGR, and it seems you get a better space in NY at Lexington !

New York + Rio de Janeiro = One of the best combinations !

Interesting news. The JJ8074/8075 should be a good flight for it. I hear JJ is doing very well with cargo on that route too so a little additional capacity won't hurt. Everytime I have been on that flight it seems like they are pretty full with passangers as well.

Three unequalled aircraft ordered to fit into a strictly managed fleet (as to commonality) with more than 100 a/c suggests they are going to fly selected routes, such as CCS and LIM. It doesn't sound reasonable to waste them domestic.
