As an East African resident, I travel frequently through the KQ hub at NBO. As KQ gets more and more sophisticated I am wondering when KQ will begin to upgrade their facilities at JKIA? Or better yet, when will the Government of Kenya build a new international airpiort that can actually accommodate their current operations and pressing growth needs? The current facility is utterly squalid and dilapidated, and has been completely outgrown. Given the importance of the airport and KQ in the economy of Nairobi, not to mention the tourist industry, it would seem to be a good investment. Compared to the brand new 777s sitting outside the terminal, the facilities themselves look pathetic!
