Nice press release. It talks about the airlines which have stepped up to offer increased service to MSY during Mardi Gras as well as the recent number of large conventions.
CO led the pack by adding 64 additional flights over a 12 day period, which totaled 7,637 additional seats!
CO's vice president of scheduling also chimes in with some encouraging words, stating that the airline will continue to work closely with the CVB to add additional service for upcoming events.

At the very least! I mean the airport sort of owes me one, anyway...everytime you see an announcement for new flights from N'awlins chances are (ie, 99 times out of 100) that info came from moi. Maybe I'll get the recognition one day.

Maybe like the "Rocky Balboa" statue in PHL....I'd want it to be in the concourse directly across from the old Pan Am ticket counter.

Did CO have any 757s on the IAH routes?
Not all of us can be heroes, some of us can only stand on the sidewalk and clap as they go by.

For my sake, never place MSYtristar and "erected" in the same frame of address

Off and on. During the peak periods, they may have several 753s into here per day; with the odd 752. Currently, there are none, but likely will change again soon.

CO is a class act, all the way.
Seems like a genuine WIN-WIN for CO and N.O. It's nice when good corporate citizenship moves beyond P.R. sound bites and is profitable for both the airline and the community.

There is still a daily 753 operating until April 2nd. It is gone for about a month and comes back to resume daily service on May 3rd.
