About time they started upgrading their aircraft, hopefully its the BA franchise, would be nice to see a BA liveried 738 with winglets.

What I don't understand, is why don't they go for A320 series, or at least take on some ex BA a/c, some of which might be around soon. Well in the near future

These cannot be new or even nearly-new aircraft as they would be paying about US$12.6 million per plane. I bet these are 737-classics.

Andz,

Comair owns two airlines there. The release doesn't make it clear which these are for.

Did a little rooting around on the SA newspapers and they report they are 6 737-400s coming from Brazil to be operated by Kulula. The MD80s are to be returned to Safair. When are Comair themselves going to be doing any expansion? They just seem to doing the same schedule year in year out at the moment. Granted theyve just launched twice weekly service to Mauritius but that is it. In the past years they've pulled out of Lusaka, Lilongwe, Ndola, George and BA have lost connections to Nairobi as well. Surely there most be some expansion planned??

I keep forgetting about Kulula because they don't feature in my life. I do remember reading somewhere last week about the MD's being retired though. Apologies.
