hi folks,
Last October I flew GVA-AMS-LIM-AMS-GVA and I claimed the missing miles via the website. All the miles were accredited except for the LIM-AMS leg, which I have to say is 6,880 miles which is not neglectable! Well I have tried asking customer service via email why these miles were not awarded to me, and I recieved a reply stating that I had to give my boarding pass and a copy of my ticket! Fair enough!
However I don't understand why the other flights were accredited and not that one. Thus I tried to give them a call, but the only thing you get is a recorded voice that tells you: "if you want such and such press 2". And when you press the option for claiming miles they tell you: Go to the www.klm.com wesite or write us by mail to such and such adress". i wasn't able to get in touch with a person!
Is there anyway I could have a live person answer me so that I can explain them my problem ?
Regards
BM

Doubt it. I tried over and over last year to get in touch with someone and only found automated service just like you did. Wrote several e-mails out of which one was answered and the others lost. Costumer service might need an over haul...

I have been in contact with FB helpdesk quite a number of times recently.
It needs to be kept in mind, that they are staffed only Monday thru Friday from 0800 thru 1800 (or 2000h ?) CET.
If your option #2 continues to get you a recorded message, try one of the other options.

in Germany it works like this: call the number, don't press any number, at some time the automated system will give up and connect you to a service rep.... at their working times mentioned above only, though

Oops, that reply was from Haggis79 in Reply #4 ...
I recall having been kicked out of the line, as the system did no longer "understoond" my option-input via phone keys.
Once you know when to press which key(s), one no longer need to listen to that boring recorded messages.
Actually, once you are through that orgy of options, the rep's in FB's call center reply the call very fast.
Appears to me that they wait for callers to call; never had I been put into any loop (and that is for FB Ivory, so no status).

When I call FB and want to talk to a real person, I always choose option "...if you want to make a new reservation, press..." (I think it is option #3). It always connects me to a live, helpfull & kind person, sitting somewhere near Paris. Doesn't matter, if I don't actually make a new reservation. they are happy to answer other questions, too.
