I had the pleasure of flying Delta's Brand New 737-800 from Atlanta to New Orleans. I flew on December 1, 1998 and was told that this plane was put into service that same day. I even saw the Boeing Representative on our flight.

Does any one here have flown the 737-800? My experience was a nice one although I think that the pilot was landing at a very fast speed. I guess this all depends onthe pilot.

Does any one know how many 737-800 have been acquired by Delta? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Rob

Delta has firmly ordered 70 of them. Right now, they must have at least two already delivered. They will gradually replace the 727's.
