Which airline is the oldest Asian airline? I think I know which one it is, but would like to hear suggestions first.

Thanks.

I doubt its ANA, since they were started in the 1940's. My guess would be Cathay Pacific/CX.

If you include Australia, then how about Qantas?
Qantas was founded in 1920. Anything older??

I thought it was Air-India which definitely started flying in 1932. I do not know when PR started. Was it earlier than 1932?

Other's like SQ, CX, ANA, MS, are much "newer." SQ started around 26 or 27 years ago.

Cheers!

It need to retract my previous statement. It wasn't called Japan Airlines until 1951. It operated under a different name.

Philippine Airlines prides itself on being "Asia's Oldest Airline". Too bad PR is just a shadow of its promising self now...
