I was on the FlyBE website a minute ago, looking at the new route map, with the BA Connect and FlyBE services combined, and noticed that the BA Connect services from Manchester to Aberdeen, Berlin, Geneva, Lyon, Madrid and Vienna havn't been added. Are both these airlines dropping these services altogether?
It seems a similar thing has happened to Birmingham. Services to Barcelona, Berlin, Lyon and Madrid have not been added.

But all the others have been transferred to FlyBE? Why do they not want to operate these routes? I would have though Barclona and Madrid would be good routes to operate to from Birmingham and Manchester?

Birmingham to Barcelona is provided by bmibaby (from 26th March). From Manchester, there's a choice of Monarch and Jet2 (also commences 26th March) to Barcelona.
As for Madrid, I'd expect this gap to be filled sooner or later, although possibly not for the summer season. It's any one's guess which airline we'll see between BHX/MAN and MAD, but I'm not convinced that transfer traffic through MAD is strong enough to see Air Nostrum operating services to feed Iberia. Time will tell.
