Here's an interesting one:

Apparently, he (the former mayor of El Paso!) tried to go through security with a loaded .22...D'oh!

Wonder if it was a keychain pistol or something like that...

What's more embaressing:

Being caught carrying a gun through security? -or- it's only a .22?

I've asked it before and I'll ask it again. How the hell does someone NOT know they're packing a loaded firearm ... at an airport?

No one will know until you go through security...think about it, scary isn't it!

If you're going to the airport, which is one of the most secure places you can be, why do you have to carry a gun? What's so hard about leaving it at home? Put it in the closet. Or is it second nature for some people to place loaded ballistic weapons in their luggage? I don't get it.

Well, ol' Joe Wardy won by a landslide, and lost re-election by a landslide...the city council wanted to impeach him by the end of his term  Wink

Some people need a gun to keep themselves warm...not sure if Joe Wardy was one of those guys.

I wonder if he had a concealed handgun permit? (legal in TX to carry a concealed gun with one of these...)
