Saw a grey Royal New Zealand 757 take off from rnwy 01R at 10:15AM today?

Also, a big yellow, orange & red Canadian high wing twin prop landed on 28 around 10:45AM and headed for the GenAv area.

Any idea why both were here?

Any details about either of them?

Thanks.

Another odd visitor at SFO today (03/11): a 777 (I think) with red, orange and yellow "waves" on it's tail. Parked over by international gates. Charter perhaps? Sorry I don't have more info or a better description. I was speeding along the 101 and rubbernecking at the plane trying not to swerve into the Lexus next to me.

You probably saw OZ 214 in their new colors.

Perhaps a Canadian Forces Buffalo?

This is sometimes used for New Zealand government VIP's and official delegations. At others, it is used as a troop transport. May have been a refueling stop on the way somewhere else?!

THREEPOINT is right! That's what I saw. What an exciting & very different thing to see!

MOTORHUSSY, I think what I saw was something very similar if not exactly that in the photo and you are right, it was a Royal New Zealand Air Force 757 just as inscribed on the photo ( oops maybe this should have been posted in the military thread but the sighing was in a commercial airport).

When I don't bring my camera is when the unique ones appear. Lesson learned here is to always bring my camera!

Thanks fellas!

RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force). Was either NZ7571 or NZ7572

Or do what I do, always keep the digital in the car.
