Starting in April the E70 for F9 will be operating a LAX-SFO shuttle. Starts the day in DEN and heads west. One of the initial overnights is a 24 Hour layover in SFO. Just keep an eye out for the 170 on the west coast next month.

Also in the beginning of April F9 will be sending an E70 to GEG as well as an A319. Followed by a third DEN flight on an E70 later in the month.

Will the LAX-SFO shuttle be operated entirely by JetExpress now or will there be any mainline left on the route?

It will be a combination of both mainline and the E170.

Frontier is operating the E-170 as "mainline", minus the PTV's. It is not called JetExpress on the -170. It is Frontier Airlines operated by Republic Airlines.

I believe 3 of the 4 daily flights are going to 170s and one Airbus will remain. Someone correct me, please, if I'm wrong!

Northbound, I believe it is 2 x E170 and 2 by Airbus,

Shows 3 or 4 flights on Frontier E170. There is no more Jet Express with the Republic contract. It is simply Frontier.

As of this moment, the Frontier website LAX-SFO is showing flight #1929 and #11 as Airbus and #4919 and #4913 as E170 from April 15.

It may, of course, change.

Of the two presently in service, one is in Frontier livery and the other is not - yet.

It's all explained in this thread - with pics:

I just checked in Sabre and the F9 website, and they both say "Operated by: Frontier JetExpress - Republic Airlines" for the E70 flights. Have those just not updated or is there really no JetEx with the Ejets and just an error in the systems? I know it doesn't say JetExpress on the aircraft, but that doesn't necessarily mean that there is no JetExpress. Or will it all be branded as JetExpress until the QX CR7s leave?

I believe the west coast E170 routing is as follows: DEN-SFO/SFO-LAX/LAX-SFO/SFO-LAX/LAX-SFO/SFO-LAX/LAX-DEN. The A319 utilized for the SJD flights should be routed as follows: DEN-LAX/LAX-SJD/SJD-LAX/LAX-SFO/SFO-DEN. This is all just pure guessing from observing the schedules and the fact that LAX-SFO will have 2 E170 and 2 A319 departures, while SFO-LAX will have 3 E170 and 1 A319 departure(s). Also, the E170 will only operate westbound to SFO, and eastbound only from LAX (the schedules do not show the aircraft operating a return SFO-DEN flight nor an outbound DEN-LAX flight).

Cheers

I believe this is the case. The last QX CR7 should leave by November which is when I believe the JetExpress brand will completely disappear.

I am sure Mariner knows more.

ASMD11-

The JetExpress designation in Sabre is incorrect. Some Republic Airlines operated flights (i.e. SDF) are not showing the JetExpress designation. I am sure it is an oversight, but it is true that the JetExpress "brand" will be eliminated. All Republic Airlines operated flights will be announced onboard the aircraft as such- "Frontier Airlines operated by Republic Airlines."

Cheers

AirplaneBoy and BA thanks for the replies. That does make sense, it's not the first time I've found incorrect information in Sabre  Smile

The last QX CR7, actually the last two, should be leaving the F9 the first week of December according the the email I got the other day.

That's correct. I believe it will be phased out.

If you check DEN-SDF (service starting April 1) it reads: Frontier Airlines - operated by Republic Airlines.
