I just saw on the OIS page that CO has issued itself and it's COx partners a GDP for "Ramp Issues". Anyone know what sort of issues they are having? Space, personnel, snow issues?

I don't know what the problem righ now is, but when I tried calling CO domestic reservations (1-800-523-FARE) at about 3:00 AM ET this morning (my mom had a 5:45 flight and I wanted to see what time the CLE ticket counter opened) I just got
BEEP. We are unable to take your call at this time. CLICK.
Each time I tried calling over the course of about 15 minutes.
No "Thank you for calling Continental Airlines", no "All of our agents are temporarially unavaliable", no "Due to weather ... we are experienceing a higher than normal call volume" .. just a 10 word message that didn't even identify -who- was unable to take my call -- so I figured I'd try the international res number and try to ask my question / let them know that it seemed something was messed up on the "normal" number.
The agent I spoke with (a guy with a wonderful New York accent) told me that because the weather in New England was horrible right now, and their call volume and cancellations were "through the roof" -- he was suprised I was able to get through but what could he do for me?
So I wouldn't be suprised if they're still recovering from earlier today

There are still weather related delays....winds are gusty at EWR and its slowing down aircraft movements so there are lots of delays. For example, a good portion of the early evening European departure bank is delayed for about 2 hours....late inbound aircraft issues and weather issues holding up departures. Thats effecting gate assignment issues, etc. The continued bad weather has made for a very difficult weekend for all of the airlines in the Northeast.

This morning, when i went to work at EWR, most of CO ramp was full of snow, ice, chunks of ice, Planes had very hard tine taxing, the worst was in front of taxi way RL, never seen planes dance the way they did today taxing over the chunks of ice. How ever, in the afternoon it all soften up a bit, now that it is night time everything froze again
