UAL 881/882 Equiptment

I am booked on UAL 881 and UAL 882 coming and going from ORD-NRT this summer.

I see that right now... and for several months now, UA has been operating this route with the 744, but I'm scheduled to be on the 772 (I planned my trip specifically be on the 772, rather than the 744) when does this flight switch between the 744 and the 772?

Is the winter busier on this route for some reason that they run the 744s in winter and the 772s in summer, or is the 744 needed more somewhere else?

The addition of Washington Dulles to Beijing to the system attributed to the switch of equipment. The route is very heavily traveled but until more widebody aircraft arrive similar decisions will be made in order to operate new rotations.
