I have some troubles to understand your second question.
But I can tell you that American Airlines formerly had a DFW-MAD route which was transfered to MIA-MAD due to poor results. I assume the route is operated by a 767-300ER.
Regarding its global operations, MIA is the carrier's third largest hub (after DFW and ORD) and gave American Airlines its place of leader on Latin America after they bought the routes and operations from Eastern Airlines.
Because of its historical background, Iberia has some feeding with three MD-87s at MIA operating on Central/South America (rumoured to be replaced BTW).
If I'm correct they fly a daily 747-200 and a daily A340-300 on the route.
