Flying Song?

I recently returned from a trip to LA on Delta from Cincinnati on a 757. On the way out the flight was on a DL branded plane if you will. Our return flight was on a Song 757 complete with the live TV etc. That made the flight back way better than the flight out. (Even with the 1.5 hour delay.)

I know that Song no longer exists but I would not mind finding out how to fly them again! So, the question is how do you find out what DL flights are operated with old Song planes?

this topic comes up every once in a while. there is no more song, DL is just slow in repainting (why bother given the new livery is out in less than 60 days!).

that being said, best way is to look for flights operated by "Boeing 757-200" on delta.com. these are usually the ex-song planes vs. regular Delta 757s that are listed as "Boeing 757"

the other way is look at the seat-map. ex-song have 26 F-class vs. 24/22 on regular Delta birds.

Some see lines, others see between the lines.

It actually happens quite frequently here in SLC to see a DL/Song 752:

SLC was not part of the original Song network, but it is fun to see those colors here!

I believe they mark on the reservations page on the website as the equipment being a 757-200 (TV).

Best way to tell is the 26 seats in F (there's a Row 7). Equipment swaps do happen though, so the TV is not guarenteed (I was booked on a Song 757 last month that got switched to a 767-300 ER with BusinessElite - that was the only way you can beat the Song 757 First Class!)
