According to the Boeing Co. website, the maximum range for the B744D is 1,805 nautical miles (2,905 km).

The thing I thought was strange about Boeings page is, they say the 744D has the same fuel capacity as the 744 but has way less range.

I am correcting myself. The 744D has a 53,985 US gal. fuel capacity and 2,905 km range and the 744 has a 57,285 US gal fuel capacity and 13,750 km range.

I believe a number of fuel tanks in the 744D are actually "de-activated" and therefore unused on a normal basis.
