No -700 Series At C-12 At PHX

I've always wondered this....Why can't WN park -700 series aircraft at C-12 at PHX?

That's what I was thinking, but I had a friend who told me that wasn't the case that it had to do with the services available at the gate? Doesn't make sense to me...

Jogales has it pretty much correct (it's due to the wingletted -700's additional span over a "stock" -700), and you're friend is incorrect. If he was looking at someone's Jeppesen 10-7 page, he might have mis-read the gate services part. If there are no gate services, we simply run the APU (as we've always done in the pre-gate services days) and that alone should be a reason for not using C-12.
