ATA offers an around the world flight on an L-1011 configured for 80 passengers in 2x2x2 seating. A bar area is in the back. I had a chance to tour the aircraft recently and it looks very nice.
My question is, has anyone been on this flight or know anyone who has been on this flight? I would like to know what is like.

I remember seeing a travel brochure for an around the world tour on an ATA L1011. It was about 8 years ago when I saw this. It was horrendously expensive. Perhaps some of the 14-year-old Concorde passengers on this forum have been on this tour and can enlighten you.

ATA has been running Round the World L-1011 services form many years now. At times they even have had 2 L1011's running different trips at the same time.
From having been involved in many Round the World flights for several carriers they are in many ways very similar and in other ways different. Some trips are designed as more leisure vacations while, others are the more educational with off the beaten path destinations. (Easter Island, Madagascar, Amazon etc..). In general these trips they are taken by an older crowd, that can afford it both financially and taking 2-3 weeks off in one shot. Also several foreign carriers run these type of trips staring in Europe (mostly UK, Germany), and Japan until the Asian crisis hit a few years back.
