I was reading an aritcle here: http://www.ameinfo.com/110575.html that states that L'avion is planning on expanding its all business class airline with another 757 and a flight to the middle east. Last I read the company had a load factor of around 30% on their EWR-ORY flights.
Does anyone have updated load information or any other information on this middle east expansion?

LX,LH,KL,Maxjet, silverjet + all the regular airlines, the Atlantic is a battlefield.
I think L'Avion can find a great market in the Middle East, maybe India or some points in Africa. The key is to open new markets, not to be just another one flying where everybody else is flying.

Those may be less fished waters then the Atlantic to New York. New York may be the biggest destination on America but its also the first on every airline's list. Going to JFK is getting to be like going to LHR, even Thai, Cathay, Singapore, Emirates and SAA. Every airline from Eastern Europe flies or flew to JFK. The only airline from the non-Americas I would love to see at JFK is Kenya Airways.

Perhaps if they tried advertising in New York they might start having better loads. I work in the travel industry and most of my coworkers haven't even heard of the airline, or they heard a rumor one was going to start flying EWR-Paris...
A friend flew them last week and wasn't terribly impressed. Their seats aren't very spacious, and the food wasn't great, although their prices are incredible - for now.

Quoting Cedars747 (Reply 9): What about TLV ? Israel belongs to the Middle East isn't it ?
of course it is but currently now from EWR you have 2 daily CO flights and i think one LY flight from EWR both on 777-200ER
and then from JFK you have 4-6 LY flights with 777-200ER/747-400 and then you have 6H with 3-5 weekly flights
and you used to have DL who might restart soon and many people on LH BA AF VS AZ KL and others
so unless they have very good connections i dont think its a good idea to do EWR-ORY-TLV

what I heard from a fellow corporate travel manager is that they don't want to advertise because they would like to remain "exclusive", sort of word of mouth... like, if you know about them then you are cool enough, or something like that. Unfortunately, their product is not "cool" enough to get this kind of vibe (based on the reviews I have heard). So.. they should wake up and start advertising and do interesting promotions with cool boutique hotels in Paris and beyond in order to try to get that "cool" vibe.
Again, a through flight from US to middle east via paris would be great

Remember that L'avion is a low cost Business class,it would be half price the normal fare.So why not ?
but so is Israir they are also normaly half price
and LY isnt bad for the business people because of its wide schedule
Meaning if they were lookin to save money they can fly Israir and if they had to go to s meetingand werent sure when it will be done they can buy an unrestricted EL AL ticket.
