Today's "Rochester Democrat and Chronicle" shows a picture in the local section of a Kitty Hawk 727 blocking ROC's long runway, having bllown 3 tires on landing. All traffic has been diverted to the short runway for a while. I wonder if this means that Delta will stop service here again until everything's back to normal?

I remember a Martinair diverting to BOS after losing hydraulics. The pilot landed the plane, but ended up blowing up the all of the tyres on the main bogies.

I too read the D&C this a.m. about Kitty Hawk. They said it was a 737.Must be because it has 3 engines! The newspaper is dumbfounded when it comes to aviation. By the way,I went by the airport and the 27 was parked on the taxiway,now-the rear air-stairs were down,but nobody was around.
