I was hoping that we could all share our experiences on Virgin Atlantic Airways? I have flown on the airline twice. I flew VS17 and VS18 which is their EWR-LGW service. I have to say the the service was impeccable and the audio/visual entertainment top notch. The food was quiet good and the lights were shut off so they we could sleep. Both flights were on time and the aircraft G-VMIA "Spirit of Sir Freddie" and G-VOYG "Shady Lady" were both clean and quiet.

I have flown on from LAX to LHR on VS. It was G-VFAB. I really enjoyed it! I also went on board a while a go on G-VSKY (A340), which was really cool. A buddy of mine is a Capt and was giving me a tour, they offered me food, drinks. I am going on VS 23 in it is an A340, hopefully I will be able to jumpseat!

I have flown VS roundtrip from London to New York 5 times since 1998 and can say it definitely it the very
best airline I have flown on. I have been on three of
their 747-400's (Lady Penelope, Tinker Belle, and my
favorite, Ruby Tuesday) on flights to and from JFK &
EWR. I have also flown on four of their Airbus A340's
Maiden Toulouse, Lady in Red, China Girl, and Rainbow
Lady as well as Spirit of Sir Freddie. All of the flights
were on time, service was attentive and impeccable,
in-flight entertainment unparalleled, and the planes
were spotless clean. I like their 747-400's but their
A340's are equally good and well appointed. I have
flown economy each time, and liked it very much,
although the seats are a little hard on the back at
times. I flew Upper Class on one round trip and it
was excellent. Virgin is a great airline and I hope
that their product will remain consistent as it
grows.

I flew VS from ORD-LHR-ORD, both legs on B747-200 and the service was the best of all airlines I have flown with.
One little detail that was more an inconvenience than anything else was at the checking counter in ORD. My carry-on luggage was about 12lb, and to my surprise the agent weighted it. Then he told me it was too heavy that I could only take 6lb in it. He referenced some Brithish Aviation regulation. So, I had to take some things from the bag and off I went with two carry ons to the plane each weighing 6lb.
3 months before I flew on BA the same route(ORD-LHR-ORD) having a small samsonite case as my carry on weighing may be around 20lb. BA did not even care. Anyway, the flight was awesome, and I can't complain.

I flew with them HKG-LHR-HKG 3 round trips.
to make a long story short, im a teenager, they are a great airline, everything u need is on the plane.
All the flights were A340-300's Lady in red, Maiden Toulouse and china girl.
The carry on luggage was 5Lbs and they checked it.

I've flown VS economy 6 times and each time I've been delighted. The PTVs, cabin crew, food and overall service are the best I've ever experienced
(and although the seats are a little hard, be thankfull...they might improve your posture!).
