'Etihad Airways wil Airbus A320 of Boeing 737 in vloot'

26-03-2007

Finally they are convinced that narrowbodies is important for its short-haul network. But the tender is set to be in 2008. Until then, they are wide-bodied only like its rival EK. My bets are on A320's.

They're also going to choose between the 787 and A350 at the same time I believe.

From my view, i think they will order both Airbus & Boeing, Etihad is more political than economical airline, no one chasing them for profits, they want to make everybody happy, not like the aggressive EK which only focus on business and profit increase.

It would be nice if they ordered B737-900ER and/or A321. They would allow comfy premium cabins while packing in 150 Y-pax too. But will they be able to get off the ground in the hot climate down there?

Ehm, that's not German. That's Dutch. The language spoken in the Netherlands. That's why the URL ends wit dot-nl. Otherwise it probably would end with dot.de.

Sorry for being fussy  Wink

I know for non-German or non Dutch speakers the languages look/sound similar.

I love both Airbus and Boeing as much as I love aviation!

Maybe Boeing will reopen the 757 line.  Wink
