Some news from the air cargo scene:
- Maximus Air Cargo has taken delivery of its first A300-600F (converted), ops by Avion, a second to be added soon. They target a fleet of 8 till year´s end, ops for Empost http://www.aircargonews.net/article.asp?art_id=1838
- Volga-Dnepr wants to add 12 AN 124-100 (purchase), 15 IL-76TD90WD (purchase) and 15 B747 (via lease) till 2015, LEJ is targeted as destination, has likely to do with DHL´s new Europe hub being set up there
- Cargo B Airlines (BRU-based) wants to start with 2 B747-200F in October, a third to be added in 04/08; plans to roll over to a more modern fleet around 2010, fleet size targeted 4 to 5 frames
- Connexus Air (BRU-based) wants to purchase 3 DC-10F and 3 B727-200F, destinations to be in West- and Central Africa

Adding to this Volga-Dnepr is planning to restart AN-124 production, with a new version, more economical engines, a 30 tons (!) higher payload and a longer service life upwards of 60.000 flight hours. So the designation AN-124-100 might not be right.
