In this article from MIT's "Technology Review", they talk about how an artificial intelligence algorithm has been used to predict whether airline ticket prices will go up or down in the near future. They can advise people whether to buy now or wait.
Being an AI developer and programmer who happens to not only love the airline industry but is programming a simulation/game as well, I got a kick out of this!
