Driving home from work today around 2:30pm, I saw a white 727 flying low over the 405 about 7 miles south of LGB. It was headed north, and seemed to low to be headed to LAX and in the wrong direction for LGB. That being said, seeing a UFO 727 flying that low is something not seen in socal on a daily basis and was indeed a treat.

Any ideas on;

1. What plane was this?

2. Where the heck was it going?

Regs

Paul

No, although she would have a nice one to see.  Big grin

Said aircraft had a blueish stripe going upward on the tail...ala fedex, but no titles that i could see.

I checked flightaware and no fedex 727's arrived in the time frame.

It was a Champion 727 departing the Armed Forces Reserve Center at Los Alamitios. We saw it depart while at Long Beach Airport shooting photos.

Cheers
