Out spotting today at msp and had an interesting landing. NWA 707 (a319)lost steering on the front wheels in flight (hydraulics??) and turned around and went back to msp Firetrucks and everything on landing and closed 12r/30l briefly waiting for a tug to the gate at 1230.
Wierd thing it was almost to bil. (of course it went back for maintance)
The flight was cancelled, my question do these people have to wait for the next flight at 911PM?
Also is this something that can happen in flight or did they probably know right after take off and trouble shoot in air for this?
