flew last weekend with Nikis brand new A319 VIE-ZRH. (The flight attendant told me it got delivered during last week) Very nice is the new overhead bin switch design, for the reading light and the F/A call. I noticed even that this A319 was way less noisier as the older A319 version. Did Airbus work on noise reduction for the new A319's?
How many A319's will be delivered to Niki?

Niki, the Austrian low-cost carrier and Air Berlin partner, took delivery of its first CFM56-5B-powered A319 last week, the first A320 family aircraft fitted with Airbus's enhanced cabin that is derived from the A380 and features 15% more bin volume, more passenger space at shoulder level, enhanced lighting and noise reduction features. Onboard the delivery flight, President Niki Lauda told ATWOnline that the carrier continues to achieve 30% annual passenger growth. "Our turnover in 2006 was €145 million ($193.2 million), we transported 1.3 million passengers and reached a load factor of 82.5%," he said, adding that Niki will present positive financial results for 2006. The airline expects to transport 1.7 million passengers this year with revenue of €190 million, thanks in part to the launch of daily Vienna-Moscow Domodedovo services at the end of this month and increasing frequencies on the existing network.
The Austrian carrier NIKI has received its first Airbus A319 at the occasion of a delivery ceremony in Hamburg. The A319 selected by NIKI is the first A320 Family aircraft worldwide delivered with the new state of the art cabin interior, making the aircraft quieter, lighter, brighter and more spacious.
