Sorry for the rather amiguous title (Suggestions to changes maybe  )

I wanted to throw an idea into the ring about a flight I took last week from EZE to MIA via SCL all made with LAN.

I made the whole reservation through LAN (I stress this and you'll see why) and flew the sector from EZE to SCL on LAN. Then the connection from SCL to MIA was a LAN reservation, LAN flight number BUT operated by American Airlines.

We all know that on LAN the bar service is free but AA charge U$S5 per alcoholic beverage. Now as I booked with LAN, flew with a LAN flight number but was physically on an AA plane (operating the flight for LAN) and was of course charged the 5 bucks por a gin and tonic.

My question:- If I booked with LAN should I have the right to receive LAN's service (i.e the free bar) on the AA flight? I know I dont and I know that I was under AAs jurisdiction - I am just asking opinions thats all? Do you guys think, on code shares that you should get the service of the company you booked with or that of the plane you are flying on?
