The title pretty much sums it up- which celebrities are also qualified pilots? I'm sure everyone knows of some. For instance, John Travolta & John Denver are pretty well known as also being pilots. Less well known are Morgan Freeman, Sidney Pollack (who flies a Citation X as FO), & Bruce Dickinson who is paid as FO by a UK charter airline, Astraeus.

Quoting Dtwclipper (Reply 5): On 19 June 1947 he was deadheading on a Pan Am plane when it crashed in the Syrian desert
I didn't know that about Rodennberry, but I was going to use that topic in another thread- celebrities that have survived serious or fatal crashes. For instance, F1 driver David Coulthard survived this crash in 2000 along with his wife & his manager. The flight crew was killed.

Jimmy Stewart, WWII bomber pilot.
Clark Gable also flew in WWII, but not sure if he actually piloted.
There's a metal rock star who flies his own plane, and I can't recall who it is.

Edit: I answered my own question, but MissedApproach already mentioned him in the original post. Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden is the airline pilot I was trying to think of. I didn't recognize the name at first.

One day in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I was holding short of the runway, preparing to call tower for departure, when I heard Jack call Ann Arbor tower. He was inbound from Willow Run, and requested a low pass.
Naturally, I opted to sit there for a minute before keying the mic.
A few moments later, Jack tore past me in his P-51....about 50 feet above and 50 feet to the side of me.

I know you were thinking of Bruce Dickenson, however (according to his Wikipedia bio) former Queensryche guitarist Chris DeGarmo now works as a charter pilot and has type ratings on Learjets and the HS125.
