I flew MTY-CUN on Aladia on Friday March 30 and I was very pleased and impressed by the service. But luckily I flew on Friday because I heard that on Saturday March 31 all three Aladia flights scheduled for the day (MTY-CUN, MTY-EGE, MTY-HAV) were delayed for more than 12 hours because of an apparent engine problem on the two planes that they have.
I found a note on EL NORTE newspaper that states that the passengers sat on the plane for hours and that they could see one of the engines open. Also, it states that frames from other carriers were brought to finally fly the passengers out after more than 12 hours.

Quoting MD90fan (Reply 1): I saw the leased 757 land in CUN today, maybe it was a backup?
It isn't a back up aircraft, so far they're flying the 02 B757s, now that it's easter week, but by the end of the month, it will be returned, Aladia will only keep one B757s untill it's get a second by the summer which will be kept as well as a B767 planned to be introduced by the end of the year.
