Call Sign Ruff?

Posted (6 years 2 months 1 week 1 day 17 hours ago) and read 1244 times:

There was a 737 flying over my house today which is quite unusual as it is. I checked the flight tracker and nothing showed up but the plane was using the call sign Ruff. The plane was dark grey on the bottom, white or light grey on the top and the tail appeared to be white with a red arrow. Any help on identifying this plane would be helpful as all the other 737's are all diversions.

Maybe N743NV, it lives at Tinker AFB and is used for E-6B pilot training.

I could not see the registration as it flew directly overhead. I just heard it shooting ILS approaches for practice.

Yes you are all correct. I was actually flying it yesterday. Go figure. Where in Texas do you live???

Yep that is it. Funny, I described the plane to a friend as looking like Lauda. I live in Beaumont and the airport is BPT. I am sure there are super security requirements for the plane, but if you are in the area email me...We can do some racing in my Arrow.

No not really. We're just an airliner that's used for training. We still have all the seats and everything else installed. Now the E-6 on the other hand is a different story...
