Yet another reason why they should have kept the A340/A330s. Big grin

Further to the price, they keep putting the international departures for the AC 777 on gate 177 at YYZ.

Coincidence???

I think not.

That's pretty neat if you ask me... but they should offer it to the general public coz employees will get to fly on it for free eventually.

NOT bad.

I think the regular fare currently is $319 (£160) about LHR - YYZ - LHR on BA and AC.

They want to give travel agents a sneak peak so they can then convince their customers to fly it. Makes sense to me!

Employees with 6months service or more can non-rev for free (not including taxes), whenever they want to.

Bear in mind that the international departure taxes for LHR are astronomical. What is it at now 40quid?

Agreed. This campaign has been set up merely for publicity.

I think this offer is pretty neat, but I'll probably use my ID90s to try AC's 77W (with the A319 from St John on the way back).

Do not get me wrong here but it is not like the T7 just came in to service, nothing special.... 3-4-3 seating, now if AC offers the same for the 787.... bring it on. I still take the mx make over 767 from AC over the T7 any day 2-3-2.  Smile

Cheers,

3-4-3 seating

the seating is 3x3x3 only 9 seats abreast where as B787s I know AC will have 2x4x2..

Well, it's promotion more than publicity. Publicity is "look at us" but promotion is "try us so you use us again." They want UK travel agents to see how much improved AC's product is with the 777, to try to get them to book UK residents on AC to Canada rather than BA or VS.

...very few carriers have 10-across seating on the B777's...EK is one of them.....

I prefer 10-across with more seat pitch over 9-across with less seat pitch.. yes

British Airways did this for travel industry staff here in the UK when they launched their 777's years ago. I went LGW-BDA for gbp77. My parents went to AUH for the same fare as well.
