Flight Tracker for today shows the IAD-ZRH aircraft holding west of KIAD, just having departed a few minutes before. I'm curious to know what happened, or "is" happening if anybody in the area can listen in on their scanners or get more info. Thanks.

Looks like a bit of a delay on the SFO-IAD leg of the SFO-ZRH flight too, as it was holding for a while before landing. Almost certainly unrelated.

Yup, it's headed back. 7 miles to go. One hour of holding.

Looking at the fboweb/google earth flight tracker it appears to be on dowinwind for landing at IAD. I figured it was probably a mech problem a maybe they were dumping fuel. Although I figured they would dump over the Atlantic, but seems not this time.

Landing gear problems maybe....flight apparently just did a low approach.
