Last night, I was at the airport and saw 2 Delta 757s at DAB. It looks like flights 893 and 1597 were diverted to DAB, why?
DL 893 was SJU-MCO which diverted to DAB
DL 1597 was LGA-MCO which also diverted to DAB
From the looks of Flightaware.com, it looks like 1597 held south of MCO for a while and then diverted. They should have hed enough fuel . . . it doesn't look like they were holding for that long. Also, flight 893 didn't even hold. As 893 came down the coast, it just qrapped around and shot the 25R Back-Course approach over the water.
It was pretty cool seeing the DL 757s . . . I kinda got excited that they may be starting 757 service here - no chance though.

A lot of airlines were just hitting their max allowed cross wind component at MCO yesterday (MCO only has the north/south runways). I happened to be listening to MCO tower and you could hear a few of them going around or holding on the ground hoping that the winds would die down enough so that they could get out. Both DL 757 diversions were due to the winds as far as I know. They flew out late last night.
