Just curious why an AA A300 is in CHS, any one with info? Im guessing a diversion, maybe?

Hi!

Flight was diverted due to medical emergency on the MIA JFK sector of the flight from SJU
It was further delayed in Charleston due to a problem with the tow bar.Imagine they probably did not have a A300 bar

Thanks guys for the info. I figured it was a diversion. I can recall when I was on the ramp in CHS with DALGS in 98' , an AA A300 diverted to CHS due to a hydraulic failure. They then ferried another A300 to pick up the passengers. It was an amazing view seeing those two big boys sitting at the gates.

Female pax having seizures was taken to local hospital. Further delay was a required maintenance inspection due to the overweight landing.
