Cathay City in HKG is one of the largest airlines Head Quarter in the world (approx. 16 football field), here is a short video on a normal business day in this City!
Hong Kong is not China. Not better or worse, just different.

The Flight training Center at CXcity is the only airline training facility in the world where sims are superposed on 2 levels.
The building had to be specially designed, and although the sim rooms appear to be an integral part of the building, they have their own foundations and supporting structure. That way, the vibrations caused by the operation of the sims upstairs don't affect the rest of the building.
Of course, it's not an architectural fantaisie but was dictated by the price of real estate in HK, especially on reclaimed land...
The cabin trainers (seen in the last part of the video) are on the 7th floor of that building, in what they call the 'glass cathedral'. It's a pretty nice setup.
However, I thought that the meals for the flights were prepared in the Catering building near the airport...
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit posting...

I had a chance to visit CX city and it is simply impressive. If I'm correct, the living arrangements for pilots, CX employees is managed by the Sofitel hotel group?
Also, I notice that one of the flight attendents is the CX safety demonstation video.

Cathay City has everything from back offices to the training facilities to the simulators to the crew hotel. Cathay Catering is in a separate facility by the perimeter south of the airport.
