All,
Been pondering this for quite a while.
I need to go to TLV in the summer from London, and so far I can't think of any possible way of using the route to earn Virgin Flying Club miles, and/or tier points.

Option 3: Rent a car with Avis, Dollar or Hertz; Virgin mileage car rental partners, and drive to TLV or as far as you can.
Unfortunately, you will not get miles for any ferries you'll have to take on the way

I would guess that your best bet would be to book through BMI and do a combination flight with them. You'll at least earn miles on the sector flown by BMI. You could do a BMI/El AL or BMI/LH combination.
