Is it true that Sun Country Airlines is recieving the first of 7 new 737-800's in January?

Yes, they will begin being delivered to Sun Country in June 2001. They are replacing DC-10s. The airline will take delivery of 6 737-800s through 2004.

Yeah i also heard the Sun Countrys 737-800's would feature an all blue fuselage.

What do you mean they will replace the DC-10s? I would've assumed they were replacements for 727s.

The 737-800 is a replacement for their 727's. When their DC-10's are retired, there is no replacement planned for them. Management has made the decision that Sun County will not utilize any widebodies and will be an all 737-800 operator.
