Quoting GEG2RAP (Reply 3): they already fly to billings, (F9 itself does in the summer)
No, F9 does not operate any flights into Billings with its own aircraft ever. It's all operated by JetExpress (Horizon), and Billings is the only JetExpress that hasn't yet gotten a date for a switchover to Republic, which leads many to believe that BIL will be switched over to LYNX

It would make sense. At just under 500 miles DEN to BIL it's exactly the distance market that Lynx is being created for. Then again so is my OMA, but clearly OMA is capable of supporting jet service. May 4th we jump from a 412 seat capacity to a 536 seat capacity for the summer, even adding a sixth flight in July and August!

I agree that it truly makes perfect sense. However, it's not a matter of that BIL can't support jet service. BIL has and does support 3 daily 737's and 2 daily CRJs on UAL, as well as now 3 CR7s on F9 JetExpress. However, with the transition to LYNX, I would imagine we won't be losing seats at all as the DH4 and CR7 are the same size aircraft. In the past, F9's winter service to BIL has been very odd, with the only flight to BIL leaving DEN at 0945. That has limited the number of cities one can connect from down to as little as 7 options. That is hardly enough to fill a plane. However, in the summer and fall, with the expanded schedule, F9 has flourished in BIL.

f9 had sat airbus service last summer. I took it twice.

If I recall correctly the DH4 will actually add 4 seats per a/c. During the summer the configuration will be for 74 and during the winter skiing months some of the a/c will have, IIRC, two rows of seats on the right side of the a/c removed to allow for a ski/snowboard rack to be installed for a 70 seat configuration.

I believe that is correct. I know the DH4 standard configuration is for 70 and 74. I've heard the ski rack rumor as well. That'll be a nice touch.
