If I understand correctly, some of Northwest Airlines' B752's are being refurbished at the moment to the International configuration, so they can start serving some of the 'thinner routes' over in Europe.
Does anyone know when these routes are going to be announced and what destinations they may be? As I recall, the routes are going to start in 2007, so surely an announcement should be made soon?
In the UK I am hoping for:
Glasgow
Birmingham
Manchester
Is it just the seats which are being refitted or is the actual interior/overhead lockers etc being refitted too?

For now, DTW-BRU, DTW-DUS, BDL-AMS and returns are the only new European routes on the 757. I believe that they added an extra DTW-AMS with the 757 as well.

All announcements for the the 2007 Summer Trans-Atlantic flying have been made. They would announce a new international route at least 6 months in advance to ensure adequate advanced bookings. New domestic routes are announced at least 3 months in advance.
This summer includes:
BDL-AMS
BOS-AMS (second daily in addition to A333)
DTW-AMS (fifth daily in addition to 4 A333)
DTW-BRU
DTW-DUS
DTW-FRA (second daily in addition to A333)
There was to be a EWR-AMS flight to suppliment the existing KLM flight, but KLM will now operate the second daily EWR-AMS instead of a NW 757.

I find it interesting that the four EU destinations are within 228 miles of each other. Aren't the DTW flights going to compete for some of the same passengers?
